We’re pleased to say that we recently reunited with the security industry at The Security Event in Birmingham. From the 7th to the 9th of September, we exhibited a selection of our security devices and networked with security installers, manufacturers and distributors. It was brilliant to see so many industry professionals in one place, shaking off the cobwebs created by the pandemic.

What is the Security Event?

We love The Security Event because it was designed by the industry, for the industry. The event was set up to bring the commercial and residential security markets together for a world class exhibition. The event always sees great attendance and this year’s event at the NEC was no different.

Attracting thousands of attendees every year, the event includes a tailored content programme, seminars, guest speakers, panel discussions and loads of networking opportunities. And of course, the world’s leading security brands have stands to exhibit their products. It’s an excellent opportunity for installers and distributors to source the latest products and solutions.

How we get on

We arrived bright and early on the 7th to prepare our stand and promote our security products to attendees over the next 3 days. We showcased our new RF-Touch Wireless Intruder Keypads and RF Miniature Shock Sensor alongside our RF RBX which is used to wirelessly connect devices such as lights, heat, gates & CCTV to our SW 10270 control panel and the HKC App.

Installers at the event also showed keen interest in our RF Expander technology due to its ability to extend the range of wireless security devices. The device is so effective, it opens new doors for wireless technology and allows engineers to install RF devices in larger sites. For this reason, we call our RF Expanders the solution to wireless range issues.

Our team love showcasing our products in front of new people, which is why we also attended the Manchester and Glasgow Security Twenty 21 conferences. We exhibited a similar range of HKC products and made new connections with industry professionals.

Summarising the three conferences, Richard Newey – Regional Sales Manager at HKC said “The TSE events were all fantastic and well organised. It was wonderful to see installers again and there was fantastic interest in the new products we have worked on through lockdown and launched over the last few months. Of particular interest were our next generation Proximity Touch Keypads (wired & wireless) and our range of miniature contacts and inertia sensors. We are looking forward to visiting installers as we return to a more normal world.”

Upcoming security events

We’re excited to exhibit more products and touch base with a wide range of security professionals at upcoming events. On the 16th of November, we'll be back in action at another huge security event.

We’ll be showcasing our security products at the Twickenham Stadium for the Security TWENTY 21 London Conference. This event is designed for end users and purchasers and aims to update attendees on the latest developments in the security industry.
