Highlights from 2021 As 2021 draws to a close, we take a look back at some highlights from an eventful year. As always, we’ve been extremely busy enhancing both our product range and our cloud-based software. In this article, we’ve handpicked a few of our best moments from the last 12 months. Innovative Security Devices Launched This year, we launched our next generation intruder keypad. Our RF-Touch Wireless Intruder Keypad with Capacitive Touch Screen has a slimline design, and a range of new features, which make it a must-have for your customers. The keypad has a capacitive touch screen which can sense a hand moving toward it, triggering the screen to light up. Together with an easy-to-read graphical display, the touch screen provides a smooth user experience that your customers will love. The keypad also enables you, and your customers, to present a Prox tag to set and unset the security system without having to enter a code. With an impressive wireless range, excellent battery life, and simple, fast installation, the RF-Touch Wireless Intruder Keypad with Capacitive Touch Screen is ideal for both residential and commercial installers. The keypad comes in a range of coloured trims, and features a backlit area for your security company’s details and logo. We Integrated NEW Shock-Sensing Technology We’re constantly utilising new technology to provide the highest level of security, which is why we’ve introduced our RF-MCS Wireless Magnetic Contact with Shock Sensor. The device is available in white, brown or grey. It delivers excellent range and battery life performance while maintaining a discreet and aesthetic profile. The shock sensor is based on the latest technology using a high-performance ultra-low-power 3-axis accelerometer and is ideal for applications that require specific architectural design consideration. The miniature shock / contact is designed to work alongside existing and legacy HKC RF detectors. We Featured in PSI Magazine Following the launch of the aforementioned Wireless Touch Keypad and Magnetic Contact with Shock Sensor, these products were put through their paces by an independent reviewer on behalf of Professional Security Installer Magazine. The product test details what is supplied with the security devices and walks you through their setup. The hardware and performance of both devices are discussed, with the reviewer praising their stylish, compact designs, and long battery life. We are very pleased to say that the security products received a rating of 8.5 out of 10. If you’d like to read the full review, click here and jump to page 23 of the magazine. Back at Security Events This year saw the start of a return to normality for the security industry, and our team was delighted that our favourite annual security events went ahead. We exhibited at The Security Event and multiple Security TWENTY 21 events around the UK, promoting our products and connecting with security professionals. Richard Newey, Regional Sales Manager, said, “It was wonderful to see installers again and there was fantastic interest in the new products we have worked on through lockdown and launched over the last few months. Of particular interest were our next generation Proximity Touch Keypads (wired & wireless) and our range of miniature contacts and inertia sensors.” New HKC Blogs During the various lockdowns, we had a lot of time to review the way we operate, and the value we provide to customers. We started writing monthly blogs, to share our industry-focused insights with our stakeholders. These articles cover a wide variety of subjects, including product launches and updates, trends in the security industry, company news and anything else we think you might find interesting.
